INTRODUCTIONS & INSPIRATIONS

Hello! I’m Gabby Coughenour (let's say it all together: COKE-EN-OUR). I’m a born and raised Vermonter. I spend a lot of time in Killington, VT these days - just a few miles away from the ski resort. I seriously LOVE Vermont. It’s beautiful in every season (yes, the weather can change on a dime, but that’s what makes it exciting here), the people are pretty laid back, and did I mention it’s gorgeous? Everywhere you look there’s mountains - who wouldn’t love that! Come get engaged/married/have a family here! We’ll take some epic photos.

I have always been a lover of photography.  School trips usually consisted of at least 2 or 3 disposable cameras in my bag.  I got more into it in high school when I got my first Canon SLR film camera my senior year, and shortly after went digital.  I have always had a passion for photographing nature, and capturing my friends/family over the years. When I decided to revamp my photo business in 2010, I turned to my surroundings for inspiration - I grew up on a mile-long, dirt road with a few intense switchbacks.  I learned how to ride my bike, how to slide and drive down without crashing into the snowbanks (or fly off into the woods). The walk up or down always proved to be a calming, humbling and inspiring experience.  I've been up and down that crazy road a billion times and I never get sick of it.  It is my Winding Road.

My first wedding was in 2007, and I haven’t looked back since! I rebranded my business and made photography my full time career in 2010 - that’s over 15 years in the biz my friends! I’ve had the honor of photographing a destination wedding in Paris, which was above and beyond any beautiful expectation. One of my favorite weddings was my cousin’s down in Kauai - wow wow WOW. That place is unreal. I am always broadening my repertoire in this business and also enjoy photographing high school seniors, maternity & newborn, family & children.

Randomness:  Goofy is my personal go-to photographed face if I'm in front of the camera. I have a beautiful little lab/pit mix named Lyla, and she’s the star of my personal IG page.  NOT a fan of spiders (or bugs in general) - those things are mutants.  I have (many) and appreciate tattoos, love plants, play saxophone, and spend spring/summer/falls traveling in our camper. I have a 2nd business making stained glass pieces, which I’ve been doing since 2017!

Love is LOVE, and I believe that with all of my heart! Photographing people/families/couples of every background brings me so much joy. I am in love with this career, and I am honored to be a part of capturing parts of people's lives.  Thank you!
